Summary

A mound thought to be a Bronze Age round barrow. In 1952 this monument was recorded as being around 51 feet in diameter with a mound about 1½ feet high high. It has been disturbed in the middle, presumably by antiquarian investigation. The feature is visible as an earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.

Full Description

A bowl barrow. <3>

A grass-covered bowl barrow with no visible ditch, situated on an east facing slope. <4>

This barrow has been totally destroyed; under cultivation when visited but no soil mark visible on the ground. <5>

The feature is visible as a low earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project. <8>
