Full Description

(Centred ST 488000) Strip lynchets plotted from air photographs. <1>

There are several groups of lynchets on the north and south slopes of Coombe Down Hill. A well-marked group facing south has terraces from 20 yards wide upwards. There are also lynchets on the north slopes of Gold Hill. <2>

Lynchets centred in three areas, and visible on air photograph … 'B' (ST 487001). Similar to 'A' but not so well pronounced, and not so regular. <3>
