Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow on Long Barrow Hill. In 1952 this barrow was reported as being around 30 feet in diameter with a mound about 4 feet high.

Full Description

A bowl barrow, one of a group of monuments clustered in the vicinity of the Long Bredy bank barrow. Listed by RCHME as Long Bredy 8e and by Grinsell as Long Bredy10, it was described by RCHME as a mound 30 feet in diameter and 4 feet high. Ordnance Survey field investigation in 195 noted traces of a surrounding ditch. <1-2>

A Bronze Age bowl barrow on Long Barrow Hill. The site is one of a group of monuments in the vicinity of the Long Bredy bank barrow (MDO1509) and is clearly visible on aerial photographs. <6-8>

Grass covered bowl 12.0m diameter, 1.0m high. Little impression of the ditch and ploughing has squared base of barrow on eastern side. Field around barrow is regularly ploughed and in grass. 1/3/C
