A. Centred at [SY 49609335] B. Centred at [SY 49879365] Area A. Pronounced parallel strip lynchets on steep hillsides and forming several series. Partly under grass & partly under the plough.
Area B. Approximately parallel strip lynchets which are partly portrayed on OS plans. The lynchets are pronounced. Some are under grass an<2>
"Lynchets on the S.W. slope of STONY HEAD, extend for about 200 yards, with terraces from 12 to 30ft. Wide. There are two other terraces further down the slope. [All in Area A]. (3)
A: Centred at SY 49429290; B: Centred at SY 49589317. A: As described in T.1; the slopes of the hill are grass
covered. The drop between terraces is from 2.0m to 3.0m. B: An area of similarly pronounced Md. Strip lynchets around the S. and W. sides of a low hill. The lynchets are grass covered. Both series are visible at AP CPE/UK/2431/3160-1 <3>
A series of parallel medieval strip lynchets are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and aerial photographs on the east facing slopes of Loders Hill, Loders. The lynchets run roughly north-south for 490m and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project <4-5>.

‘(20) LYNCHETS, on the W. slope of Knowl Hill. About 300 yards S.W. of (18 e), seem to have covered two fields but have been much ploughed out or denuded. The width of the terraces varies from 12 to 30 ft.’
