Summary

A mound interpreted as a probable Bronze Age bowl barrow. In 1952 this mound was reported as being around 45 feet in diameter and 5 feet high.

Full Description

Two bowl barrows. A and B. Diameter 12 and 10 paces, heights 4 & 3 ft respectively. <2>

45ft. In diam and 5ft. High. Similar information to <2>. <3>

B. A grass covered bowl barrow with no visible ditch, and a hollow in the top. Diameter 10.0m, height 0.7m. These barrows are situated at the lowest point in the vicinity. <4>

‘(8) MOUNDS, about 200 yards S.S.E. of Kingston Russell Farm, are two in number. The more northerly is 35 ft. in diam. and 3½ ft. high; the second, 25 yards to the S.E., is 45 ft. in diam. and 5 ft. high.’
