Probable 18th century red brick warehouse, three storeys. To the rear was a covered ropewalk. Warehouse is now demolished.

Full Description

Warehouse, probably 18th century in date, three storeys, of red brick with some stone rubble, pitched slate roof. Brick gable parapet on kneelers and eaves cornice of bricks set diagonally. Two ranges of segment-headed windows. One planked door. One blocked loading door. Lean-to extension to north with catslide roof.

This warehouse may have belonged to R. Budden & Son, who were at 26 West Street from 1898-1923 (1). To the rear (north) was a covered ropewalk.

This warehouse was demolished some time between 1975 and 1997.
