Summary

Built in 1811 as a malthouse and brewery, known as the New Brewery. In 1881 it was converted into a bonded warehouse.

Full Description

Built circa 1825 or earlier, as the New Brewery, and considerably altered after 1842. About 1867, the owner decided to move the operations to the Old Brewery in West Bay, and this building was used for maltings and as a bonded warehouse. East and west ends hammer dressed stone, centre red brick. Various pitched slate roofs. 2 storeys and attic. East side as 3 barred windows and 1 sash on 1st floor. North elevation is gabled at either end has 1 planked winch hoist jettied out from attic storey and 1 range of casements at east end.
