Summary

Soil-marks of a circular feature are visible on aerial photographs taken by Francesca Radcliffe in 1997. The feature is interpreted as a ring-ditch, the probable remains of a Bronze Age round barrow. The site is visible as a cropmark ring ditch with internal mound on aerial photographs, it was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cern and Piddle AIM Project.

Full Description

Aerial photographs taken 18 October 1997 show soil-marks of a ring-ditch. <1>

Cropmarks of a possible Bronze Age round barrow seen as a single ring ditch at SY 7820 9654, one of a group of barrows of varying size all visible on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording programme. <2>

The site is visible as a cropmark ring ditch with internal mound on aerial photographs, it was digitally recorded during the Dorset Upper Cern and Piddle AIM Project <4>.
