Description

Terrain Archaeology undertook a watching brief during the excavation of foundation trenches for a new sports hall at Carter Sports and Community College, Blandford Close, Hamworthy, Poole in April 2003. The site lies in close proximity to the proposed course of the Roman road along the Hamworthy peninsula and close to the core of the medieval settlement of Hamworthy. No finds, features, or deposits of archaeological significance were observed.
