Description

Assessment carried out in advance of the proposed development of the site. Identifies several findspots for late prehistoric and Roman material on headland. Excavation to east of church in 1998 found evidence for Roman occupation. Site under cultivation from Medieval period until 20th century. Possible MoD significance. Recommends trial trenching. No remains of national importance likely.
