Description
Archaeological evaluation comprising geophysical survey and trial pitting. An area of potential archaeological interest was identified in the area of the medieval farmstead at Wytch, located beyond the limits of the survey. This comprised residual evidence of past agricultural activity in the form of cropmarks surviving as ridge and furrow (cropmarks and earthworks). No such remains were identified by the present survey. 35 trial pits were excavated.25 test pits excavated revealed extensive landscaping of the area.
