EDO8133 - Huntley Down, Milborne St Andrew; geophysical survey 2017

Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Wyatt Homes to carry out a geophysical survey at land at Huntley Down, Milborne St Andrew, Dorset (centred on NGR 380170 098120). The survey forms part of an ongoing programme of archaeological works being undertaken in support of planning application for the development of residential housing within the site. The detailed gradiometer survey has demonstrated the presence of a number of anomalies of potential archaeological interest in the survey area. These anomalies are primarily ditch-like features of an unknown date. An area of possible pitting has also been detected, however it is not clear whether this archaeological or natural in origin.
