Description

A site visit by Steve Wallis of groundworks for construction of a house in the garden of Bourneside. Topsoil had been stripped from th site of the house and most of the foundation trenches dug before the visit took place. It could be seen from the sections that up to 0.3m of topsoil overlay the subsoil, which was weathered chalk. No finds of significance, or archaeological features were seen.
