Description

An archaeological evaluation consisting of the excavation by machine of 20 trenches, each 30 metres by 1.8 metres. A number of linear features were investigated and interpreted as drainage features associated with early 20th-century forestry, and tree throw and root holes were also noted. No other archaeological features or deposits were revealed. Two slight mounds considered to be possible barrows proved to be natural features.
