Description
Observations and recording during groundworks associated with the removal of a conservatory and the erection of a larger replacement. The site was located within a Scheduled Monument. A trench was excavated around the perimeter of the proposed footprint measuring around 600mm to 1000mm wide and up to 600mm deep. Spoil from the machine stripping and hand-excavation was scanned. No features of archaeological significance or finds were observed. Deposits may have been removed by building of the old conservatory.
