Description
An evaluation comprising the machine excavation of two trenches on land at the rear of Dorset House, proposed for housing. Each trench was 3m by 12.m and situated within the 'footprint' of the proposed new dwelling. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed. A small quantity of post-medieval pottery was recovered from a subsoil horizon present in both trenches.
