Description

Observations and recording during groundworks associated with the development of the area around the Terminus Building. A small linear feature running east-west was observed at the southern end of the site; it could not be dated but was interpreted as a possible boundary ditch. A larger L-shaped feature was also observed. This also could not be dated but the filling, which comprised redeposited natural sand and gravel, suggested a relatively recent date and possibly a connection with World War II activity in the area.
