Description

A watching brief was undertaken by Wessex Archaeology during strengthening works on Gosling's Bridge, Lyme Regis. The tarmac and underlying soil layers were removed and the structure recorded. Five phases of widening and rebuilding of the bridge spans was identified. The earliest phase may be medieval in date.
