Description
Observations and recording were carried out by Laurence Keen in November 2000 during works to insert a stone flag floor on the ground floor of the Chantry. Several elements of the foundations were exposed and recorded. Nothing of the 14th century flooring levels survives, since the ground levels were substantially reduced in the 19th century.
