Description

Building remains were found in 1883 during sewer excavations near the centre of Durngate Street opposite the former entrance to Wollaston House. Two successive floore were bounded to the east and westby walls respectively 21ins and 25ins thick, and 18ft apart. The west wall retained three courses of tiles on stone footings 3.5ft high. Further observations by C.J.S.Green revelaled the north wall of the building and established the alignment as 345 degrees [1].
