Description

Archaeological desk-based assessment of c. 0.6 ha of land at The Recluse, Culliford Road North, was undertaken by CgMs Consulting in July 2003. This assessment established that the site was in close proximity to a Neolithic timber ring monument, two Bronze Age barrows and a number of isolated Roman burials. Should prehistoric and/or Roman remains survive within the site, they are likely to have been largely unaffected by recent land usage so may be reasonably well preserved.
