Description
An area excavation to investigate a known soilmark of a ring-ditch undertaken by Wessex Archaeology in spring 1987, in advance of the Dorchester By-pass construction. The southwestern half of the ring-ditch was exposed and excavated. Very few finds were recovered. Further parts of this ring-ditch and three other ring-ditches were exposed during a subsequent watching brief.
