Description
Excavated by Wessex Archaeology in 1987, during the construction of the Dorchester By-pass. During the topsoil stripping, two Late Neolithic pit-rings were identified and these were subsequently cleaned and excavated. These pit-rings were both of similar size c. 15m in diameter and artefacts recovered from them included Grooved Ware pottery.
