Description

An evaluation consisting of three machine-dug trenches. The archaeological features revealed were associated with various industrial or manufacturing processes on the site in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Large quantities of modern and nineteenth-century artefacts were revealed in all three trenches, and the excavator concluded that most of this material had been dumped to level the ground surface.
