Similar pair of houses. C18. Brick walls, colourwashed. Tiled roof, brick dentil cornice at eaves. Brick stacks. Two storeys and attics. No 9 has, on ground floor, central door, part-glazed, in classical surround with pedimented hood on brackets and reeded pilasters. The bow window with glazing bars, and one later window top-hung lights. First floor has 2 double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. Attic has one dormer with hipped roof and casements. No 10 has, on ground floor; a part-glazed door and shop front, - probably C19, with moulded timber surround and vertical glazing bars. First floor has 2 modern metal casement. Attic has one dormer with hipped and side-hung casements. RCHM Monument 39.
