Description
WEST BOROUGH 1. 5193 (west side) Nos 19, 21 and 23 (formerly listed as The Tivoli Cinema) SU 0000 SE 2/142 14.6.52 II GV 2. C18. Brick walls, with stone quoins and details. Tiled roof behind parapet. Brick stacks. Two storeys and attics. On front elevation the whole ground floor has been pulled out for modern shop fronts and cinema entrance, but the brick arches and keystones of the former 4 windows retain, stone platband at first floor level. First floor level has 5 double hung sash windows with glazing bars. Centre window has a classical stone surround. Moulded stone cornice at base of parapet. Two dormers to attic with hipped roofs and casement windows. Facade worthy of restoration now cinema use has closed. RCHM Monument 67.
