Description
1. 5186 OLD BRIDGE ROAD Iford Bridge and causeway SZ 1393 31/35 5.5.52.

2. Partly in Bournemouth District, but mostly in former Christchurch MB. Causeway at east end between brick walls with stone coping, circa 1800, outer sides have pilaster strips and 1 blind arch. Central section of bridge has 4 arches, mid Cl7, mixed ironstone and Purbeck stone, with triangular cutwaters. Main western section has 4 low round-headed arches, late C18, with piers on mud islets, keystones to cutwaters carry recessed circular panels. All of grey ashlar, including solid parapet, except for ironstone banding to cutwaters. Now used by pedestrians only.
