Abstract/Summary

A summary of the results of an archaeological assessment of a temporary construction site. The Trust for Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by BP Petroleum Development Ltd to carry out the work, which consisted of geophysical survey supplemented by trial pits. No surface features were visible. Five test pits excavated, and no archaeological finds or deposits observed. The author noted that deeper, waterlogged soil profiles were observed in the north-western part of the site.
