Abstract/Summary
The following report contains the results of archaeological observations during the stripping of remnant rough pasture as initial works to extend the south west corner of Coombefield Quarry (SY 689 704). The work was commissioned by ARC Southern (now Hanson) as part of the planning consent for the development. No archaeological features were present, although a small number of chert flakes and some late Medieval pottery was retrieved.
