Abstract/Summary

Brief catalogue of Roman inscriptions found in 1984. This includes the following entries for Dorchester (on page 326), reproduced here in full. 17. Dorchester (Durnovaria, SY 690904), Hospital Site ā€˜C’. Sherd with orange colour-coat found in 1969 during the excavation of a pit, probably of fourth-century date. A graffito reads: ]IARC[., probably for Marc[us of possibly Narc[is(s)us.
