Abstract/Summary
In March 2006, Terrain Archaeology carried out archaeological observations and recording during the construction of a new extension to Appian House, Bowling Alley Walk, Dorchester.
The northern part of the middle ditch of the Roman defences was exposed in the footings trenches, as well as a small number of garden features and other deposits associated with Appian House. The ditch was filled with clean clayey silt.
