Abstract/Summary
A short article about the discovery and subsequent gift of a mosaic to Dorchester, Boston, Mass., accompanied by a photograph of a similar mosaic during the process of being uncovered, sent by Rev. Filleul.
The mosaic was offered by S. E. V. Filleul, Rector of All Saints Parish, Dorchester to the city of Boston in 1903. This offer was accepted and originally the mosaic was to be laid in the new Public Library, but this did not prove to be possible, so it was given to Dorchester High School instead. It reached the School in January 1906 and was to be laid in the lower corridor of the school. This mosaic was discovered in the All Saints Glebe, off Icen Way. In response to this gift, a donation was given to help the All Saints Organ fund.
