Abstract/Summary
The second season of excavation in the area of 'The Copse' in the Roman graveyard just east of the Iron Age camp at Poundbury lasted for two weeks in 1967. 'The Copse' became know as Site A in the later publications (SDO9630, SDO9538).
excavations resumed from the previous year in areas 1 and 3 and a further area (4) was opened up. Seven further burials were excavated and a further mausoleum was discovered in area 4.
