Abstract/Summary
Observations during digging of foundations for a hoist extension in the rear yard of the Joseph Weld Charity Shop, Trinity Street, Dorchester, were made by Steve Wallis of Dorset County Council on the 25th and 26th May 1999.
A hole 2m x 2m in area was dug to a depth of 1m. Tarmac and a metal plate were found suggesting that the site had been heavily disturbed in the recent past.
