Abstract/Summary
Two test pits were excavated by AC Archaeology during April 1995, in advance of an extension of a conservatory along the south–facing front of the Trumpet Major public house.
These test pits were within the area of previous archaeological work by Wessex Archaeology in 1997.
The test pits demonstrated that the areas of the intended footings had been severely disturbed by earlier terracing on the site.
