Abstract/Summary

The report summarises the rescue excavations undertaken in 1977-78 by the Central Excavation Unit, now English Heritage Centre for Archaeology. Trenching and hand clearance revealed the remains of a substantial building, confirmed to be part of a large Roman Bathhouse.
