Abstract/Summary

A discussion of various remains around Dorchester. Stukeley’s ideas on Maumbury and Poundbury are dismissed. The routes of the Roman roads on the east and south east side of the town are discussed, as is the Roman streets and the nature of the defences is speculated upon.
