Abstract/Summary
'Licensed by English Heritage under Section 42 of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979, a geophysical survey using magnetometry was carried out over four days in October 2013 on the interior of the Iron Age hillfort known as Nettlecombe Tout, in the parish of Melcombe Horsey, West Dorset.
Pits and possible round houses show occupation but its extent is obscured by subsequent cultivation. Weak magnetic enhancement indicates a low level of activity and investigation of the gap in defences is inconclusive.'
