SDO21390 - Chalbury, Dorset. A Geophysical Survey

'Licensed by English Heritage under Section 42 of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979, a geophysical survey using magnetometry was carried out over six days in July 2014 on the interior of the Iron Age hillfort at Chalbury Hill, Bincombe, Dorset. The contrast between features and background is lower than on many chalk sites but the results show strong evidence of occupation with numerous pits and hut circles in addition to the terraced platforms visible on the surface.'
