SDO21389 - Buzbury Rings, Dorset. A Geophysical Survey

'Licensed by English Heritage under Section 42 of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979, a geophysical survey using magnetometry was carried out over two days in April 2014 on the interior of the Iron Age hillfort known as Buzbury Rings. The inner enclosure shows strong evidence of occupation with numerous pits; weaker magnetic enhancement in the outer enclosure indicates a low level of activity. The entrance has been remodelled but the layout of the main earthworks is consistent with an Iron Age banjo enclosure.'
