Abstract/Summary
'An archaeological evaluation on land at the rear of 38 High West Street, Dorchester, Dorset, comprised the excavation and recording of two machine-dug trial pits. Both pits revealed deep soil deposits, up to 2.1m in depth. Neither revealed in situ archaeological deposits or medieval or earlier artefacts. Consideration has been given to the archaeological potential of the site, including a comment on the significance of the brick hall structure that is proposed for demolition.'
