SDO21128 - St Martin's-on-The Walls Church, North Street, Wareham, Dorset BH20 4AG. Geophysical Survey Report

‘BUARC, Bournemouth University’s Archaeological Research Consultancy, was commissioned by Parochial Church Council of Wareham to carry out a programme of geophysical survey at St Martin’s-on-The-Walls Church. The surveys delineated areas of archaeological potential and modern services. Features of archaeological potential which are morphologically similar to graves occur up to 0.38m below the ground surface. Based on the results of this survey the archaeological potential of the site is deemed to be low-medium. It is anticipated this report will be used to determine the nature and extent of further investigations on the site including, but not necessarily limited to, an archaeological watching brief to monitor the excavation of potential archaeological features.‘
