Abstract/Summary

Report on results of excavations in Barrow Plantation near Steppes Farm, where a trench was dug across the postulated course of the Dorchester Roman aqueduct. No channel was found. Another section was cut in Penn Wood; again, no channel was found. A trench in the garden of the Old Chapel at Muckleford also revealed no trace of the channel, though evidence of Roman and medieval settlement was found.
