Title | Geophysical survey of a possible long barrow at Sopley |

Abstract/Summary
Avon Valley Archaeological Society and The Christchurch Antiquarians undertook a resistivity survey of the site with the aim of locating a proposed monument destroyed to make space for a landing ground during WW2.
The survey revealed a strong anomaly consistent with a long mound and thus the results suggest the location of the mound, although further work will be required to establish whether it is indeed a Neolithc long barrow.
