Abstract/Summary
Report on observations and recording by Wessex Archaeology during removal of a telegraph pole from the top of Chettle Long Barrow and the auguring of boreholes prior to installation of a new pole and stays to the north of the barrow in order to re-align overhead cables. Three boreholes were augured up to 1.8m in depth, with minimal impact. No archaeological finds or features were encountered.
