Abstract/Summary
Report on an archaeological evaluation undertaken to inform plans for underfloor heating. Two test pits were dug by hand, one towards the western end of the church and the other just to the north of the nave. Both pits revealed a series of deposits interpreted as demolition layers association with renovations in 1772 and 1865. A possible floor surface of roughly-laid ceramic tile was observed. No in-situ burials were encountered, though a small quantitiy of disarticulated human bone was recovered in the course of work, and subsequently reburied.
