Title | 158 East Street, Corfe Castle, Dorset. Architectural and Archaeological Assessment |
Author/Originator | Edwards, R |
Date/Year | 2003 |
Abstract/Summary
It was proposed to extend the property, a Grade II listed late 16th century building and an assessment of the possible impact was requested upon the fabric of the rear west wall and any below ground archaeological remains. There was a suggestion that the building had previously incorporated a medieval leper hospital. Historical research did not reveal any reference to such a hospital. The proposed alteration to the rear wall would not result in any loss or damage to inportant historic fabric or features.
