Title | Three Lanes Way, Puddletown, Dorset, Archaeological Desk-Based Assessment |
Author/Originator | Smith, Rob |
Date/Year | 2018 |
Abstract/Summary
The archaeological desk-based assessment drew together available information to consider the heritage significance and archaeological potential of the site as part of the planning process for development. The report concluded that there was a moderate/low potential for prehistoric remains and low potential for Roman remains. As the site was located in an agricultural area it was considered that the archaeological potential for Saxon, medieval and Post-medieval settlement was low while moderate for farming activities.
