SDO161 - Wytch Farm Oilfield Development Gathering Station Extension Archaeological Assessment

This report contains a summary of the results of an assessment survey undertaken during September 1987 by the Trust for Wessex Archaeology. The area covered by the survey is that of the proposed extension to the existing Gathering Station in the Wytch Farm Oilfield Development. The survey failed to reveal either surviving earthworks or subsoil archaeological features within the survey area. The occasional dispersed features of possible archaeological origin observed are not sufficient in themselves to indicate any intensity of deposits within the development area.
