SDO15865 - Chickerell, Dorset

'A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 7.3 hectares of grassland. The survey has not identified any anomalies of a probable archaeological origin. A possible former field system has been detected in the east of the site, this could equally be of a natural or modern agricultrual origin. A former field boundary and evidence of modern ploughing suggest that the area has been used for agricultural purposes since the medieval period. The remaining anomalies are natural or modern in origin, relating to an underground service, scattered magnetic debris, ferrous objects, and fencing.'
